What is Pediatric Massage?
Pediatric massage is a wonderful way to encourage a healthy, self-aware, internal experience within a young person’s body. From infants to teens, each client is treated with respectful, fun, and educational communication and touch. Each session aims to create the foundation for lifelong connection within the body.
With a parent in the room and the client fully clothed (teens and their parents have additional options), a bodywork treatment includes massage, movement, stretching, and craniosacral therapy. This combination of techniques connects the soft, myofascial, connective tissues throughout the body with the nervous system’s processing, integration, and balancing of the whole. Depth of pressure and length of session are tailored to the needs of each individual.
Our treatments at Cary House are supportive of whole wellness and the maintenance of health, as well as individualized support for postural tension and growing pains, support for athletic performance and recovery, improvements in sleep quality, stress and anxiety reduction, digestive system health, and breathwork.
